B.S. Engineering and Computer Science

Overview

WORLD-CHANGING TECHNOLOGIES. UNCHANGING TRUTH.

TMU offers an innovative curriculum taught by top faculty in focused class sizes, to prepare students to excel in an increasingly complex technical world while living lives that glorify God. E&CS majors study computers and engineering both in theory and in practice, and also learn to leverage their careers to the honor of Christ and Scripture.

Alumni are now employed across the nation in high-visibility and high-productivity roles with some of the most well-known and innovative companies in the world, including Google, Amazon, Oracle, Tesla, Comcast, Intuit, Cloudflare, Raytheon, Nike, Windstream, Northrop Grumman, Electronic Arts, NBC Universal, and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, among many others. They are also strategically placed at Christian ministries and non-profits such as the Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society, Answers in Genesis, and locally at Grace Community Church.

Degrees & Emphases

B.S. in Engineering & Computer Science degrees are accredited 4-year undergraduate degree programs offered on-campus in Santa Clarita. Students in E&CS programs will complete approximately 130 units to graduate with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), depending on which of the six offered emphases is selected. The 4-year curriculum typically includes Bible units, worldview & skills (GE) units, engineering & computer science (E&CS/CIS) units, and emphasis/elective units. Some GE and Bible units may be taken through TMU Online. Students may also compile required classes in the TMU IBEX Israel Semester or in the TMU Italy Summer program. The degrees have been accredited by WASC since 1975 and designed with the intent to achieve ABET accreditation (alumni of any programs or universities that receive ABET accreditation may claim the accreditation retroactively).
