Academic Resource Center

In collaborative partnership with TMU faculty and staff, the Office of Disability Services (ODS), Academic Counseling, and ARC Tutoring are committed to equipping undergraduates with the resources and intentional mentorship needed for them to achieve their educational goals and honor Christ through academic excellence. Specifically, ODS serves students seeking academic accommodations based on a documented condition protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Meanwhile, ARC Tutoring provides online, peer-to-peer, and group tutoring services for all current TMU undergraduates.

Services

We aid each TMU student’s academic progress, all of our services are offered for no additional charge.

The goal of education is to prepare the whole person. At The Master’s University, we seek to instill in our students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for their chosen profession, while cultivating their spiritual growth, strengthening their moral character, and developing their abilities as citizens and leaders. TMU is committed to helping each student succeed in their academic career and in the path God has for them after graduation. Through tutoring labs (ARC tutoring) and other student success resources, our ambition is that we will help you find your way to manage your academic life successfully.

Disability Services

  • Disability Services: Students with a documented medical, psychological, learning or physical condition protected under ADA are able to request tailored academic accommodations through the ODS. You can Schedule an ODS Appointment, and see the Disability Services FAQ .

Academic Counseling

  • Academic Monitoring and Counseling: The ARC is committed to each student’s success and provides ongoing oversight and guidance to students struggling with their academic performance.

  • Proctoring: Students with approved ADA accommodations in place may request proctoring through their course’s respective departments.

You can Schedule a Counseling Meeting, and see the Academic Counseling FAQ.

ARC Tutoring

  • Online: TMU students meet with tutors over a video call. Our experienced tutors are eager to help students navigate course material. For a list of supported courses, see our Bookings page. You can Schedule Online Tutoring here.

  • Peer-to-Peer: Students may request approval for regularly scheduled support through one on one tutoring. These can be either online or in-person, depending on the availability of the tutor.

  • Group: Certain departments provide specialized tutoring labs (ARC tutoring) available at scheduled times. Students may either contact their department for additional information or send questions about the lab schedule to jcervantes@masters.edu.

The Master’s University is no longer an “open” testing site for CLEP testing, DSST (Dantes) testing, and proctoring. Please reference the CLEP homepage for more information and other testing sites near you: https://clep.collegeboard.org/
