Bio

Matt Green graduated from the Master’s University with a degree in Organization Management. Since graduating from TMU, Mr. Green has built a successful career as a producer, writer, and director. In 2014, he began teaching within the Communication Department as an adjunct instructor and joined the faculty full time in 2015.

Mr. Green’s experience in film and video production began working on music videos in the late 1990s. This led to producing the live-to-tape concert series of the widely popular United We Funk All-Stars, hosted by nationally renowned radio personality Tom Joyner. He produced the award-winning inspirational film No Greater Love, which was released by Lionsgate worldwide.

A chance encounter at a restaurant in early 1999 with the head of distribution for MGM landed Matt his first optioned script. He would later write numerous episodes for the kid’s educational television series It Really Happened. Matt co-created, co-wrote and directed the pilot for the TV series Typecast, starring Dean Cain and Anthony Tyler Quinn. He currently has several feature films in pre-production.

Mr. Green has a passion for sharing knowledge with others. With a BA in Business and an MA in Communication, he oversees the Cinema & Digital Arts emphasis within the Communication major, and he is the Chair for the Cinema & Digital Arts degree online—the first practical media arts degree online in the country.
