Bio
Professor Brown earned his B.A from The Master’s University and has an M.A. in Secondary Education from California State University, Northridge. He has a California Clear Credential in English. He taught junior high and high school English for 22 years and served as the English Department Chair and Academic Dean at Santa Clarita Christian School. He is the codirector of the Writing Project at CSUN, leading professional development workshops throughout the year. He also works closely with the California Writing Project ISAW (Improving Students’ Analytical Writing) program. Prof. Brown has presented at several conferences during his career and has published articles in English Journal and in California English. He currently serves as an associate professor and the Single Subject Coordinator in The Master’s University Liberal Studies and Education Department.
