Student Life believes that biblical community life on this campus is initiated and modeled by its students. The mission of TMU as defined in the doctrinal statements and modeled through the Distinctives, is fleshed out in the context of a life-on-life community. It is through the lives of committed students who are faithful to pursue this goal and call others to follow that the reality of a biblical community can be lived out on campus.

Being on Student Life Leadership at The Master’s University is both an incredible privilege and a great responsibility. It is the aim of Student Life Leadership to be a team that honors the Lord in all they do, to sacrifice of themselves for the growth of the community, and to model Christ likeness consistently, with the goal of impacting lives on The Master’s University campus for the Kingdom.

With these goals in mind, Student Life Leadership provides an opportunity for various students to serve in specific ministry capacities both on and off campus through the following leadership opportunities:

Resident Assistant: leads a wing of residential students towards Christlikeness by modeling service, care and ownership of creating a positive wing culture.

Wing/Off-Campus Assistant: partners with the RA to cultivate authentic spiritual friendships and has awareness of any needs amongst the students; assists with dorm events, wing events, and small groups.

Campus Life Leaders: represents and serves the student body in the planning and coordination of campus events.

Campus Life Event Volunteers: partners with the Campus Life and Events teams to help execute major campus events throughout the school year.

Chapel Band: serves the student body by creating and executing our campus worship culture through an edifying chapel experience.

Global Outreach Leader: serves as a team leader who is trained to manage a team of peers to participate in a ministry in a cross-cultural setting.

International Student Liaison: serves, leads, and encourages the International and Third Culture Kid student population through ministry and activities coordination.

More information about these positions can be found by clicking on “Leadership FAQs.”

Students applying for a position as an RA, Campus Life, GO Leader, or International Student Liaison should expect to be interviewed by Student Life Staff. Interview times will be given by King Hall via email.
