Christian Education

The Christian Education emphasis is designed for students pursuing future ministry in education, whether that be through a local church, a public or private school, or a university. It is also valuable for students interested in missionary work. Our students study the principles of Christian education, and they put these principles into practice through ministry internships.

Though we stress a thorough academic understanding of education in this emphasis, we believe that all ministry should begin with a love for and an accurate understanding of Scripture. Because of this, our Christian Education students, like all of our Bible majors, are given a firm foundation in the study and interpretation of biblical literature. They examine the Bible in light of its original historical environment, equipping them to apply its message to today’s theological and cultural issues. Having been armed with an understanding of how to understand and apply Scripture, our Christian Education graduates are empowered to better model a biblical lifestyle and teach a biblical worldview to their future students.
